Everything PCP does for you

PCP is a free app for your own computer that stands between AI assistants and your accounts. Here is what it holds, what it connects, and how you stay in charge.

Your keys stay home

PCP holds the passwords and keys your accounts need, so no assistant ever has to.

Secrets, locked on your computer

Passwords, API keys and sign-ins are encrypted with a key only your password opens. PCP adds them to each request itself; an assistant never sees a single one.

No back door, by design

Your password or the recovery key PCP shows you once opens your vault. Nothing else does: there is no reset, no master key, and nothing we hold.

Touch ID on a Mac

Unlock PCP with your fingerprint, and confirm a new token, an export or a restore the same way. A new password still takes the old one.

Take it with you

Export everything to one encrypted file and restore it on another computer. Your password, recovery key and tokens keep working, so your assistants carry on.

Ask me first

You decide, for every assistant and every action, what happens on its own and what waits for you.

Allowed, ask me first, or blocked

Set each action per assistant, a whole service at once, or for all of them. Anything new starts on “ask me first”, so sending or deleting never happens behind your back.

A link, not a pop-up

When an assistant wants something you haven't decided on, it hands you a link to PCP. Allow it once, always, for a while, or not at all, then tell it to carry on.

Allow for a while

Let an assistant work without asking for fifteen minutes, an hour or a working day. It ends by itself, and never lifts anything you blocked.

Assistants suggest, you decide

An assistant can propose the access it thinks it needs, for many actions at once. You see every change marked, adjust any of them, and nothing changes until you save.

A log of what was done

Every action each assistant took: which one, when, and whether it ran, failed or asked you. Never what it sent or what came back.

A token per assistant

Give each assistant its own token, limited to the accounts you pick, with an expiry if you like. Revoke one without touching the others.

Connect what has no connector

One address for your assistant, and behind it everything you choose to add, without writing a line of code.

Your assistant builds the connectors

Ask your own assistant to hook up a service: it finds the API description, sets it up, and fixes or narrows it when the service changes. You approve each step and type any password in yourself; it never sees one.

Mail accounts

Almost any mailbox (Fastmail, Stalwart, Gmail and other IMAP accounts). Search, read, file, flag, draft and send. Deleting moves to the Trash, never for good.

Calendars and reminders

iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud and other calendar servers. See what is on, find free time, schedule and move events, and keep reminders, without inviting anyone.

Any web service with an API description

Give PCP a service's API description and each thing it can do becomes an action, signed in with your key or account. Read-only if you prefer.

AI connectors you already use

Add existing connectors by address, including the ones that need you to sign in. PCP keeps the sign-in and finds tools across all of them.

A browser that stays signed in

Assistants can open pages, read them, click and fill in forms in a browser that stays signed in where you signed it in. Watch any tab live and take over for a sign-in or a CAPTCHA.

Web pages you allow

Assistants can read web pages, only on sites you allowed. Every site one tried shows up for you to allow or block.

Commands on your servers

Run commands over SSH with a key PCP makes for each server, never a password. Leave it on “ask me first” and you see every command before it runs.

Made for how assistants work

Small, clear tools, so an assistant can reach hundreds of actions without drowning in them.

Find any action by asking

An assistant describes what it needs in a few words and PCP finds the action, across every account behind its token.

Files that skip the assistant

Attachments and long answers stay in PCP, encrypted, for a day. An assistant passes them on by reference, so a file can go from one account to another without passing through it.

Run code next to the data

An assistant can run a short program inside PCP that calls its own actions and sums up the answers, at the same levels you set, with nothing else in reach.

Wrappers

Combine actions into new ones, so an assistant gets one clear step instead of five. Your assistant writes them; you read and approve each one before it runs.

Memories that follow you

Notes an assistant keeps between conversations, in PCP rather than in one app. Shared notes every assistant reads go to you first, word for word.

Runs where you are

On your own computer, reachable from anywhere you use an assistant.

Mac, Windows and Linux

A signed Mac app, an app for Windows, or one line on a Linux server with Docker or Podman. Choose a password and you're done; nothing to configure.

Your own address on pcp.gg

PCP dials out to pcp.gg and becomes reachable at yourname.pcp.gg, with no router settings. The encryption ends on your computer, so we can't read what passes.

Works with your assistants

Claude on the web, the desktop and your phone, and ChatGPT sign in at your own PCP. Claude Code, Cursor and others take a token you make in PCP.

Keeps itself current

PCP tells you when a new version is out and, in the apps and the Linux installer, installs it with one click.

Light on your machine

PCP cleans up after itself and sizes its limits to the computer it runs on; change them yourself under Settings if you like.

Or host it all yourself

Built-in dynamic DNS and free HTTPS certificates for a home server, or put it behind your own tunnel or proxy and skip pcp.gg entirely.

Try it on your computer

PCP is free and open source. pcp.gg is in a free, invite-only alpha.
