Let AI help with your accounts. Keep the keys yourself.
PCP is a free app for your own computer that stands between AI assistants and the accounts they use. Your passwords and keys stay locked on your machine, and you decide what the AI may do. pcp.gg gives your PCP a private address, so your assistant can reach it from anywhere, and we can't read a byte of what passes through.
Rather run it all yourself? Self-host instead

Your assistant
On the web, your phone or your laptop
pcp.gg
Passes it on by name. Can't open it.
PCP, on your computer
Holds the keys, follows your rules, then talks to your mail, apps and accounts.
AI wants your accounts. Your keys deserve better.
Assistants are most useful when they can read your mail and use your apps. Today that usually means handing over the keys: to the AI company, to a connector service, or to a text file.
The middleman gets robbed
In 2025, attackers stole the sign-in tokens one integration company held for its customers and used them to get into more than 700 organisations.
Source: BleepingComputerOne email is enough
A single crafted email made an AI research agent send a user's private Gmail data to an attacker, without the user clicking anything.
Source: The Hacker NewsKeys left lying around
Nearly half of the 19,000 AI connector projects researchers looked at tell you to keep your passwords and API keys in a plain text file.
Source: TrendAIPCP is a portable data guard: it holds the keys, lets the AI use them only the way you allow, and asks you before anything you haven't approved.
How it works
- 1
Install PCP on your computer
A signed app for Mac, an app for Windows, or one line on Linux. Choose a password, then add your mail, apps and websites.
- 2
Claim your address
Sign in to pcp.gg with your invite and pick a name. PCP connects out to pcp.gg and becomes reachable at yourname.pcp.gg. No router settings, no ports to open.
- 3
Connect your assistant
Give your assistant your address and a key from PCP. When it wants something you haven't decided on yet, PCP sends you a link: allow it once, always, or never.
A guard between AI and your secrets
Your keys never leave home
Passwords, API keys and sign-ins are stored encrypted on your own computer, with a key only you hold. PCP adds them to each request itself. The assistant never sees a single one.
You decide, one action at a time
For every assistant and every action: allowed, ask me first, or blocked. Anything new asks you first, so “send email” or “delete” never happens behind your back.
Connect what has no connector
Almost any mail account, any web service that publishes an API description, a browser that stays signed in where you signed it in, and the web pages you allow.
Reach it from anywhere
Your PCP calls out to pcp.gg, so nothing on your router has to open. Your assistant connects to your own address, encrypted all the way to your computer.
One home for every assistant
Set up your accounts once and give each assistant its own key. Each gets only what you allow; switch one off without touching the others.
Yours to keep, yours to move
PCP is free and open source. Export everything to one encrypted file and restore it on another computer. Or skip pcp.gg and run it all yourself.
What pcp.gg can and cannot see
We can't see
- What your assistant asks for, or what PCP answers
- Your emails, files and anything else PCP reads for it
- Your passwords, API keys and sign-ins
- The private key for your address: it is made on your computer and never leaves it
We can see
- Your account email and the name you picked
- Whether your PCP is connected, and since when
- That a connection to your name happened, when, from which internet address, and roughly how much moved, while it passes through. We don't keep a log of it.
- Your address appears in public certificate logs, as every HTTPS site's does
- Only if you use the pcp.gg app in Claude or ChatGPT (coming once they approve it): what that app asks your PCP and what it answers, as it passes. Never kept, and never your passwords or keys
Questions
Is it free?+
PCP is free and open source (MIT licence). pcp.gg is free during the invite-only alpha. If that ever changes, you'll hear it from us well before, and PCP keeps working without pcp.gg.
Can pcp.gg see my data?+
No. The connection is encrypted from your assistant all the way to your computer, and the key that opens it is made on your computer and never leaves it. pcp.gg passes the encrypted bytes on by name. We can see that a connection happened, when, and roughly how much moved, never what's in it. Your passwords and keys never touch our servers.
What if pcp.gg goes away?+
Your PCP keeps working, because everything lives on your computer. Point it at your own address instead, with PCP's built-in dynamic DNS and HTTPS or a tunnel of your choice, and update the address in your assistants. There's nothing to export from us.
Which assistants work with it?+
Anything that connects to a remote MCP server, at your own address. The connectors in claude.ai (on the web, the desktop and your phone) and ChatGPT sign in at your own PCP, where you allow them; Claude Code, Cursor and others take a token you make in PCP. A one-click pcp.gg app for the Claude and ChatGPT app directories is built and waiting for their approval; it only works once they approve it.
What do I need to install?+
Just PCP: the signed Mac app (with Touch ID), the Windows app, or a one-line install on Linux with Docker or Podman. Your computer has to be on for your assistant to reach it.
Does PCP stop prompt injection?+
Nothing fully does. PCP limits the damage: the AI never holds your keys, new actions ask you first, the ones you block stay blocked, and it only reaches the sites you allow.
What if I forget my PCP password?+
Use the recovery key PCP showed you when you set it up. There is deliberately no other way in: nobody, including us, holds anything that opens your vault.
Can I host everything myself?+
Yes. PCP has dynamic DNS and free HTTPS certificates built in for a home server with two ports forwarded, or it can sit behind your own tunnel or proxy.
Your AI, your rules.
pcp.gg is in a free, invite-only alpha. PCP itself is free for everyone, today.
